My name is Ashley, age 35 and I have been interested in birds since I can remember. I always remember living on the farm out of Bundaberg as a child and taking any opportunity I had bird watching on my parents farm and taking my little camera down and taking photos of birds. Unfortunately from the age of 16 to 27 I did little bird watching. About 8 years ago I started to travel around Australia and camping out and hearing all the different birds calling in the bush and this reignited my desire to start bird watching again.

Five years ago I purchased my first digital SLR which was a basic model to start capturing photos of Australian birds. Since then I have upgraded my camera and lenses to be able to capture more professional photos of our spectacular bird life. Any spare time I get I spend travelling around Australia, camping out and taking photos of any birds that I can find.
